The 3 mounted fish I donated

LIVING COAST DISCOVERY CENTER-FORMER CHULA VISTA NATURE CENTER

A few weeks ago I donated 3 mounted fish to this nature center that included a Rooster Fish and 2 Black Sea Bass.

                                                      We recently visited the facility.

The Living Coast  Discovery Center is a natural treasure on San Diego Bay. The zoo and aquarium is uniquely situated on the Sweetwater Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, offering visitors an ideal setting in which to explore the animals and plants that call this coastal region home.  Some of the exhibits include Green Turtles, a shark and ray pool and shorebird and raptor aviaries.

The Chula Vista Nature Center was constructed in 1986-1987.
Greenhouses were constructed and used to grow crops just east of the marsh and on the 46 acres of the land where the Nature Center is now located from the 1930’s to the 1980’s.
